We are an independent, family-owned and run business based in beautiful Malvern, Worcestershire. Owners Debbie & Philip Ashwell, collectively have over 60 years’ experience working with people in the care and customer service sectors and have first-hand knowledge of how the right support can enhance the quality of people’s lives.
Ashwell Home Care Services was founded from a desire to provide a level of care which transforms the way in which care is delivered within the community. Ours is a level of care which is tailored to your individual needs and which is delivered in a way that you want, when you want and how you would expect. We are an inclusive agency who believes that all care should be delivered in a non-judgemental way regardless of people’s background, race, colour, ethnicity or sexuality. We have personal experience of loved ones receiving care which at best was mediocre and which did not recognise the importance of how receiving care affects a person’s outlook and quality of life. We recognise that staying in your home is so important and that at times you may feel isolated and lonely. Acknowledging and making the decision to receive care is not an easy thing to do and inviting people into your home to assist you is something that you may never thought you would need to do.
Our staff are all picked because they have demonstrated to us that their values and beliefs are the same as those of our company and that we are proud for them to deliver our company vision. We think of our staff as your Care Companions who you will look forward to seeing on a regular basis. We will strive to keep the Care Companions who visit you to a minimum so that a relationship can be built, and you can get to know each other and how you like things done.
We think of our clients as Family Members because we adopt the approach that we will look after you as families do which is why we only employ Care Companions who we would entrust to look after members of our own family.
Our Company Vision is to transform the way care is delivered. We want to be revolutionary within the Care sector and want to change people’s views about the standard of care they receive. We want to let them know that receiving mediocre care is not acceptable and that they deserve high quality care from a high-quality agency that only employs high quality Care Companions. We will always ensure that you know who is coming to visit you and at what agreed time. The Care Companions who visit you will be introduced to you before they start visiting so that can feel reassured that you will have no unknown faces turning up at your door.
We use state of the art technology to ensure that your calls are monitored, and we can pinpoint at any time where Care Companions are. This allows us to contact you if there are any unforeseen delays. The technology also allows the Care Companion to see at a glance what your needs are at each call so that tasks are completed without the possibility of anything being missed. Just as importantly our system allows your nearest and dearest to be involved in your care by giving them access to information about your care calls (with your agreement), and to interact with us at the touch of a button. We recognise that every person is an individual and that everyone’s needs differ, so we offer a wide variety of services which can be tailored in a bespoke care package that meets your specific needs. We are here to promote your independence and not to take it away from you so will encourage you to do as much as you are able to by yourself. We like to think of ourselves as just ‘an extra pair of hands’ if and when needed. At Ashwell Home Care Services, we will work with you to ensure that you are in control of the care you receive.
